University Office for Planning and Budgeting

University of Illinois: Champaign-Urbana, Chicago, Springfield

Resource Allocation and Management Program (RAMP)

Brief Description:
This annual document provides a summary of operations costs by functional classification and by source of funds for each campus of the University of Illinois, inclusive of University Administration. A comparison is provided across the summary to reflect: one historical year of data, the current budget year and upcoming budget request. (For example, the upcoming FY 2018 RAMP request would include historical FY 2016, current FY 2017 and budget year FY 2018 request.) RAMP tables compile data such as staff requirements and earnings; state-appropriated resources for instructional activities, organized research, public service, academic support, student services, institutional support, physical plant operations, independent operations, and salary/cost increases; and income fund estimates (tuition dollars). As a component of the university's annual budget request, RAMP tables are submitted to the Illinois Board of Higher Education (IBHE) as two segments: the historical years and the current budget years.
