1Survey of the class of 2003 conducted in 2004
Highlights:
- At both Chicago and Urbana, slightly more than 40% of respondents were employed before they graduated and another 7 to 10 percent were hired within the first month after graduation.
- Almost another fifth of the respondents found work in the next two months; thus, around two thirds had acquired employment within three months.
- Over 80% of graduates were employed within six months on both the Urbana and Chicago campuses.
- Early patterns vary significantly among the three campuses because of different programs of study and student demographics, but the rate of employment is virtually identical for graduates of all three campuses within nine months to a year of graduation.
